As we close the chapter on our six-week Backstrap Weaving Workshop, we are filled with immense gratitude and pride. Over the course of this journey, our 20 residents, split between two intimate cohorts, have not only honed their weaving skills but also forged genuine connections with each other, the craft, and the rich cultural heritage behind it. here

As Tramando’s first Module in natural dyes and fiber spinning comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible cohort members who made this journey so special. This milestone offers the perfect opportunity to introduce and celebrate the participants who have enriched this program with their creativity, dedication, and passion.

Module One Wrap-up: Check out what our cohorts are up to this week! The two cohorts will join together in NextFab’s Artisano Salón where they will define their creative practice, find opportunities for funding,  learn how to price their work and share it with the world!

Module one for Tramando is well underway, and we are thrilled to share that we’ve selected our cohorts, now entering week three of this transformative workshop series! The journey began with an introduction to fiber spinning, led by the incredible Beatriz, who has been guiding participants in turning raw cotton fibers into yarn.
